Qatari Domain Registrar Hacked, Government and Military Websites Defaced by Syria Electronic Army

The hackers from Syrian Electronic Army known for their hardcore support for Syrian President Bashar Ul Assad are back in news with another high profile hack in news by hacking Qatar Domains Registry (registry.qa). As a result, high profile domains of Qatari government were defaced.
Hackers left their deface page along with a message on all hacked websites with image of Syrian President Bashar Ul Assad along with their official logo.
Some major targeted websites belong to Al Jazeera, Vodafone, Google, Facebook, Sheikha Mozah, Qatar Ministry of Interior, Qatari Amir’s site, Qatar Exchange, Qatar Telecom, Qatari armed forces, Amir’s palace and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Syrian Electronic Army has been blaming Qatar for supporting terrorism in Syria. A notable point is that SEA made name in the news by hacking official website of Qatar based Al-Jazeera news channel on February 15, 2012.
