President John Fitzgerald Kennedy - Speeches on Peace, Secrecy & Press Responsibility

[Administrator's Note:
I have posted these videos, in memorium, on the 50th Anniversary of JFK's assassination. Posting doesn't necessarily indicate concurrence with all views expressed.

JFK has some interesting comments to make, commencing at the 6:30 mark, about the 'repugnance' of secrecy 'in a free and open society'. I feel these views are interesting given the 'Cold War' context in which they were made. Listening to them I also had a slightly eerie feeling that he could have been speaking today and that his remarks would be completely pertinent to the NSA and judicial overreach and other current attacks on privacy and press freedom by the Obama administration. RIP JFK]

JFK Secret Societies Speech (full version)

Was JFK's comment on "secret societies" a statement against the "NWO"? I searched this famous quote and finally found the full unedited written transcript and audio of this speech.

JFK was actually talking about current events of the cold war and how nontraditional enemies were gaining information on how the US was battling this war. In this speech JFK actually points out "the need for far greater "official" secrecy"...as well as "the need for a far greater public information".

JFK admits "I have no easy answer to the dilemma that I have posed," but also states, "and would not seek to impose it if I had one." This a major difference from where todays elected officials stand.
